A few things I've made lately.

Just a few things I've made lately to keep busy. I sold the diaper bag and I'm giving the purse as a gift. Jenna loves her poncho, wears it all the time. :)

Brendan's last field trip was to the Botanical Garden and Childrens Land. I chaperoned and took some pictures. The Childrens Land part had some rides for the kids, and ice cream vending machines, so the kids enjoyed that part. During the learning part of the trip, the gardens, they just kept asking when they could ride the rides so I didn't get as many pictures as Iwould have liked, but here are some of my favorites.

Jenna's New "Do"

Here are pictures of Jenna's before and after. We decided to donate her hair to Locks of Love and give her a cool new style for summer.

Should be SOO much easier to take care of too, I'm really looking forward to that part. :)

The Weasels Den

Here is the only place on base you can take the kids to play year round. It's a huge hangar with playground equipment, an indoor soccer field, batting cages, a gaming area and waaay far at the other end the Outdoor Rec "office", where you can pay for sporting trips such as skiing, camping and various other outdoor activities. There is a store down there too where you can buy some equipment or rent if you like.

The indoor soccer field becomes a roller skating rink on Thursday nights. Brendan and Jenna tried it for the first time this month, unfortunately I didn't bring my camera that night.

The red "barn" area is a space you can rent for parties, there's a bunch of tables and benches and a fridge.

This is the tree fort. The kids can climb up inside and slide down the slide. Or hang out in there, today someone's little girl had a bottle of bubbles up there, and the kids were just popping bubbles and having fun.

You can almost see Jenna running in this picture, she's behind the boy on the right with the striped shirt, it's not easy to track a running child in a poor photo lighting scenario.

Here is some of the playground equipment, In the first picture I was standing up on the bridge of this structure. The boy in the front of the photo is Colton, one of Brendan's best friends from his soccer team.

Just some pictures of my back porch. Easier to show this way.

The Self Help store on base is a place where you can pick up lightbulbs, borrow mowers and tools, get water filter replacments and other things of that kind for free. Yesterday they gave away gardening supplies. They do it once each spring on a first come, first serve basis. They do limit the amount you can take total. But I figure I got about 200 dollars worth of stuff for nothing! Pretty nice eh?
The kids each got to pick one plant from the flowers I got. Brendan chose the daisies and Jenna chose the pansies.

It's hard to see, but here is a lilac shrub I got, I need to weed out the rest of that section and do something else with it, but I don't know what yet.

Here is the view from our back door.

Here is my little plot of personal space. I hope to add some interesting rocks and maybe a stone lantern. I'd love a water feature of some sort in there, but that might be a bit much for my landscaping skills. I wanted to do a rock garden, but I don't know how to do that AND keep the green look. There's some clover and moss and nice low cover growing in there that I like and want to keep.. also some regular grass I'd like to get rid of. But I'm not sure how to do that yet without killing the other stuff.

This is the rest of the patio, not much but there is room for the bench we built with Dad. It's currently in the living room, avoiding the weather.

Spring shows it's colors

Here's some shots from the trees around base. I really love the shade of the pink ones! This little guy was stretching his wings.

Unfortunately, it snowed here today, I hope it doesn't kill the blooms... And I think it's safe to say they're all white now. :(

It was very windy here today, so the kids and I tried out these mini kites we bought last year, but never had good enough wind to try.
They worked alright, but I think regular kites will be better.

Brendan's is an airplane, Jenna's is a butterfly.

All smiles!

We went to McDonalds for lunch, I have yet to work up the courage to try the Shrimp Burger.
Here are some items we found shopping off base. Most of you know about the tea parties I have.
I just thought this bike was funny, the "Tea Cup"

I gotta have it!! Lol

Another shot of the bike.
This is cheese folks, yes you see right, blueberry cheese...

"Candy" Cheese!

I'm really curious to try this one!

(and a little scared)

I'm not sure what this is, but it was with other "sweets" in the bakery section, and I'm determined to try lots of new things here.
